Addiction Rehab Center’s (“ARC”) story is based on discontentment with the failure of the addiction treatment industry. When 95% of individuals relapse or fail within one year of completing residential treatment and young individuals are overdosing at alarming rates, the team at ARC said “there has to be a better way”.

We developed a model and philosophy engulfed with love, compassion and community. These three components are the cornerstone of allowing an individual the opportunity to address core underlying issues that prevent them from being able to maintain long-term sobriety and wellness. Our program is a journey of addressing underlying core issues rather than a “crash course” on the 12 steps. Family and culture are at the center of the ARC curriculum in all ways.

Our key aim is to express sincere affection and sympathy to all patients so they can supply themselves with these attributes. The patient has the ability to refine experienced unhealthy designs and meanings in order to start cultivating self-love through the development of a model to love a stable attachment and resolve painful central problems such as co-dependence, guilt, abandonment and violence.

ARC is different and we provide a different way to treat people. We understand that you are more than another body or another insurance card. Without addressing core issues, which answer the question ‘why do I keep getting high’, getting well is impossible. At the center of what we do is providing a safe community that exudes love, support and modeling healthy attachments. While the decision to use a drug for the first time is usually a voluntary one, an unexpected addiction can make the decision to quit later significantly harder.

The first part of an addiction is physical dependence on the drug. This can be recognized by a tolerance to and withdrawal symptoms from the drug of abuse. Tolerance occurs when you need more of the drug to get the same effects as when you started. Withdrawal is the negative symptoms that occur when a person who is used to using a drug stops using the drug.
